Holiday Home in Bracciano - Only a short distance from Rome (38 Km) one can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peaceful roman countryside of Bracciano. Here, you can absorb all the atmosphere of its medieval borgo, visit one of Europe's most beautiful feudal manor houses, Castello Orsini Odescalchi, or relax at the lake taking advantage of the many water-sport activities that the area offers. Other places of interestin the immediate vicinity are: the Museo Sorico dell'Aeronautica Militare (the Italian Air Force Museum), Parco Castel Giuliano (Etruscan and Roman settlement) or Giardini Botanici di S. Liberato. In addition you can go on a cruise on the lake with stops at neighboring Trevignano and Anguillara. And, if your Roman Holiday coincides with certain dates, you will have a chance to participate in one of the following popular local festivals: Carnevale (Parade of allegorical carts - beginning of lent), the Infiorata del Corpus Domini (procession on street paved with flowers in June), Fiera dei Terzi (country and animal fair), Festa dell'Assedio (festival commemorating the siege of the castle in the 15th century in August).

The Apartment

The Holiday Home Roman Holiday Bracciano Il Borgo Antico is situated in the medieval borgo adjacent to the castle in Vicolo del Moretto,1. This 17th century village home has been completely and recently rennovated to satisfy creature comforts of this century.

It is composed of two individual units that can be utilized separately or as a whole, depending on your needs or request. The smaller unit, the living room-bed sitter has a small but efficient bathroom with shower and hidden kitchenette, and is located on the ground floor. The larger unit is made up of two rooms, the kitchen-dining on one floor and the bed and full bath on the top floor (wich has a view of the lake). Both units come fully furnished with T.V. color, bed and bath linens. Both kitchens are fully equipped and supplied with breakfast provisions. Telephone service is available.

Use of the kitchen, radio and T.V. color. You will receive the occurrent for your breakfast daily, and weekly changes of bed and bath linens.

Upon your arrival you will receive a map of the city and useful information on the city sights, shops and places to eat in the area. The apartment has a well supplied bookshelf at your disposition containing tourist and archeological guide books in various languages and our staff is always on hand to help and suggest touristic itineraries.
